We want to apologise for the added inconvenience and extra-work that this change means for ship designers, and we recommend you to wait until the replacement tech has been implemented in the game before doing any more submissions or updates. We'll keep you posted about the situation and will notify you when the changes have been made.
Considering ship designers in regards to changing core components used by many people.... But releasing tiered components that will make EXPONENTIALLY more work for EVERYONE going forward. smh Really terrible design direction.

Also considering your previous design direction of: "Ship building isn't for everyone that is why there are and will be so many ship shops!" you guys are spending a lot of time on this easy ship builder non-sense.

If you have pressure from the outside to make this game easier or more appealing for the masses just remember what happened to New World when they developed their game for a niche, then 180'd out of it after their first phase test.

The people hyped about Starbase don't want a Space Engineers clone, or an easy space ship building game. There are plenty of games like that already. The players hyped about your game are hyped for your original design direction and where the game was up until your first tiered component release.

Respect your player base and your original design direction.

Tiers and Easy Build mode are entirely the wrong direction.

Easy build mode is not the worst thing ever. Tiers and capital ships are awful.

Tiered stuff looks nice for more affordable ships and or more advanced/compact.
However I do wish that we could sell different versions of the same ship in a shop to compensate for the new and much larger diversity of parts.
(As in the ability to switch on the same shipshop slot the type of ship . . . ie V1, V2, V3, etc )

It is also nice to hear that the replacement for attachment plates that was obviously broken if exploited properly is getting a new feature to replace it and make beam structures much free in how they can be angled.
Though by removing attachment plates it'll prevent from extending plating past beams. Maybe some kind of plate to plate welding would be a good feature to hopefully help with more complexe plating ? Or just adding some plates with groves like the decorative railing so that they can be bolted together with ease.

Overall some nice features which some have been talked about a while ago but most people seem to have missed it :/
But more features as said above to help make everything work well together would be nice.

well, I have no problems with easy to build and tiered components
you can have different sections/shops for the tiered ships and maybe limit access to company members/allies/friends while everyone else can only buy lower tiered ships^^
and most easy to build ships will probably not look that pleasing to the eye and probably be less efficient then a ship designed the "normal" way (e.g. easy to build fighter vs normally build fighter) so I don't see much of a problem with that

and keep the company stuff coming^^
