Any decision on game design should be evaluated on a scale of prospects or lack of prospects for development.
Therefore, just take a step forward, how will you use the name further, and are there any prospects for its development in adjectives and personal names.
Pure practice and no lyrics.

"Gas giant" - you can develop an idea on the topic.
The "giant" is large, the gravity is high, the "gas" atmosphere is large, the logical conclusion is why even in the asteroid belt around is not a complete vacuum but resistance to movement, as it is intended to be implemented in the game.
We go further, well, they are mining, building, breaking, robots on asteroids. When you get tired - the only question is time.
Where to go? Of course to the planets, to which? To others? Yes, but first to the nearest. And what's in there?
In-of! And there is a large gas atmosphere and high gravity, very strong and very strong creatures live in high gravity - crog ... .... or the Asterians or Cerulians or ... damn it, of course the Crog are stronger and more associative in name. And then it's up to the balance and mechanics of the interaction of robots from orbit with the local fauna and flora.

What can be a Krog?
Lives in high gravity and in an atmosphere of liquefied gas, almost in liquid.
Very strong chitinous shell, almost not pierced by any small arms.
The effectiveness of small arms in liquids is not large, because only Krogs use only contact combat, a huge force makes them invincible in close combat.
Krogs break steel walls and structures without tools, with melee weapons they break everything.
The robot needs a special highly armor-piercing weapon to confront Krog, if Krog broke into a contact battle, the robot is killed immediately. The probability of breaking through Krog is 50% to 50% when fired from heavy armor-piercing weapons.
The civilization of Krogs is a source of a unique resource for robots, the complete extermination of Krogs will lead to the exhaustion of the resource and the inability to use the technology of Krogs. Robots are a source of resources for crawfish, which crawfish cannot make themselves.
Robots under high gravity require high energy consumption and are limited in corrosion in an aggressive atmosphere, they cannot colonize or capture the planet Krog, robots cannot, maintaining posts on the planet for robots is possible but very expensive, it is cheaper to raid and fly away.
Krogs need a breathing mixture and equipment to enter the asteroid belt, they cannot live in orbit for a long time, or it is very expensive, it is easier to fly robots and fly away.
in this way you can get two balanced races, opposing each other but not having the ability to capture the territory of the enemy, nor the not need to destroy the enemy completely.
The eternal struggle for resources with each other.
Krog is an armored crab, or insectoid, with collective consciousness, great strength and hardness.
