until we can profit from this, there is literally a negative incentive to both run and keep shop ship designs updated, because we can sell them elsewhere, its just both risky and can increase CM ticket submissions through bug lost ships, and needing to refund ores so people can buy their ships...

wouldn't it be better to fix the transponder system and have better defaults so people can see the transponder for it directly? also hand-holding people with ghost stations also takes away any sort of exploration factor in finding it

the other option they tried before was the same for all plates no matter the size, people just spammed small plates instead and big plates were bad. it needs a new system entirely, but what that system is I have no idea. but many small plates will be bad for performance.

sadly its easier said then done, another way around it would be to make the ship a module and paste to another file too, once your in the designer, the parts are just objects, the only way of tagging ID would be through the file, and no way of knowing which configuration of parts is one ID or...

except you can just copy pasta to a new file and bam there goes your 5%
