Greetings. Im wondering if we can build a spacecraft with some Canarms(robot arms) that allow us to catch small items, like asteroids, smaller ships, and then grab them into our own ship? I think carrying a whole asteroid must be useful ...

We have robot arms, but their purpose will be constructing ships/stations, not grabbing heavy objects.
For that purpose we have cargo lock beams and cargo lock frames.

Part about cargo crates is outdated, and tractor beam is rather useless, but clb and clf remained roughly the same.
