Recently there has been a rise in alliances being formed by certain groups, despite the early access not even have been launched yet.

Just curious on your opinions on the matter.

It is this Subroutines consideration that sentient beings are hungering for access into Starbase and wanting content, in the void of content or works to consume their time, sentient beings are creating their own content, finding new and interesting ways to immerse themselves into Starbase.

I would say that it is all part of the role-play aspect of Starbase. Yes, having an alliance comes with benefits as well, but I really think it all mostly comes down to that people are hungry for a universe and content, and would very much like to start creating and shaping that universe in any way possible, even if the actual physical game isn't out yet.

They can be both useful and detrimental, however groups should be avoiding deals of promised ships or resources as theres no guarantee anyone can deliver on material guarantees this early on.

Without the environment, to dictate the capabilities and the demands appropriately, it would be foolish and not very good diplomacy. You have to understand the extent of your factions abilities, resources, loyalties, etc, before engaging in any business.

Promises and pretty words are nice, but ACTIONS, are the real currency of any diplomatic situation.

That aside, creating a world and populating it with ideas. Is exactly the reason I have fallen in love with the game!

It depends what the alliance is based on. If two factions have established a rapour and are agreeing to defend each other then that alliance will likely be successful. If it is based off material which can not exist yet that alliance will likely fail. Leaders should only be making deals with those they trust without question and where the motives go beyond the scope of realpolitik.

I have a feeling most political deals currently being made wont really amount to much. But there is a lot of benefit to just talking to others and being friendly.
