New Features and Major Updates
  • Station Easy Build Mode areas are now expandable
  • Added blueprint shopping list to the Auction House
    • Needed materials to build the selected blueprint can be seen from "Materials" tab, and needed parts to build the selected blueprint can be seen from "Parts" tab
    • Clicking on any material or part searches for it in the Auction House
Known Issues
  • "Full Parts List" does not always show parts that are currently only available via SSC
    • Parts that have non-default material will also not show up in the "Full Parts List"
      • Parts that do not show up are replaced with their ore cost instead
  • Damaged items cannot be used with the "Full Parts List", they won't be accepted even if fully repaired
  • Torpedoes launch incorrectly if they have a yolol chip in the yolol slot

Easy Build Mode - Ships

    • The first area has a limit of 20 000
    • Area expansions have a limit of 10 000 each
  • Station Easy Build Mode is now off by default when entering Easy Build area
  • Added UI indicator that tells if Easy Build Mode is on or off

Economy
  • Fixed idle laser ammo not showing up when buying ships

Impressive patch, but is it me or are we a little behind the roadmap for moon mining? ;)
I don’t want to be negative FB is doing a great job.

We have now ore spawning mostly done, but that and moon ground deform server still needs some work.

However on bigger picture Capital Ships first version is hitting PTU within next two large patches, so the large updates are on average coming nicely. Once capital ships are in we can also start doing mockup sieges with players, since siege core tech is also there.

I am curious, though, if anyone else struggles with the rounded values given by the translation and rotation tools.
Additionally will anything be done about the rotation tool's tendency to drift by hundredths of a degree when auto snap is off. It is ever so frustrating to have things start to be ever so slightly off. (oh and I almost forgot a number of objects like the 45° special beam, small navigation receiver, and turntables among others jump in a direction if you attempt to manually set their location with the translate tool.)

Based on PTU testing, expansion is only possible once into most directions without hitting safezone edge (exeptions being directly along the x/y/z axis from the foundation block), due to expansions being cubes and sz being a sphere. We estimated expansion size to be a ~108m^3 cube.

With this in mind, and considering our station foundation has to be smack-dab in the middle (and surely wouldn't like being built into a capital), will this mean the potential size of a capship building area is limited to ~324m x 324m x 162m? Or ~108m x 540m x 54m, if you want a long one.

The final plan is to make station safe zone increase in size as you add more voxels. And I hope we'll get that in game sooner than later.

There's actually already support for this, it's just disabled for the intial testing phase.

There's also room to increase the limits, both item limit per area and amount of build areas. Most likely the limits will be adjusted already based on PTU feedback (and PTU siege tests at least).

For capital ships we plan a bit different expansion rules, and they won't be limited to a puny 500m size either. :D

I tried to expand my capital ship dock into an easy build area I just unlocked and I got a message prompt along the lines of "make sure your factory halls are in the same easy build zone" does this mean capital ships are limited to one easy build zone in size? or is this going to change for teh capital ship dock?
