Tagging players and social network.

The game world will be huge. Same for playerbase. It will be virtually impossible to know or remember every player, group or alliance.

Thus I suggest in-game tagging system. You could tag anyone (including whole groups) with set of simple pre-set tags. Both positive and negative.
Example tags: honest, scammer, traitor, skilled fighter, bad fighter, pirate, thrustworthy, ect.

But to prevent fake tags, you could see only tags you placed, and those from people you marked as thrustworthy. Thus it won't matter how many fake accounts or fellow criminals will vouch for you, unless they are respected, nobody will see their tags.

I'm not a fan of using oog tools for that either. I'd rather have it simplified in game than browsing forum drama for data.
