Update 28.10.2020 (Alpha 278)

About known issues: Automatic blueprint filling with lots

The system for automated blueprint filling related to station building has been added to the game, which works with lot building as well. However, as this is mainly meant for factories, which are not in the game yet, its use is presently not intended. Using the automatic blueprint filling is currently at your own risk, as it results in the following bugs:
  • untextured parts
  • 'ghost items' that may get added to your inventory but cannot be removed

  • Fixed Spatha's pieces getting scrapped on spawn
Effects
  • New effects for ammunition explosion
  • Autocannon
    • Moved the muzzle effect closer to barrel
    • Resized the muzzle effect to be a bit smaller
Gameplay
  • Added new reticles for all infantry weapons except Antigel Rifle and Whiplash
  • Lowered Rail Gun recoil
  • Changed Mining backpack's tether direction to go down from the backpack before bending towards the connected Resource Bridge
  • Adjusted Long Rifle zoom to better accommodate new reticles
  • Lowered Long Rifle recoil
  • Sprinting
    • Fixed sprint animation not syncing for other players
    • Added "1st person camera head bobbing" setting to Options -> Gameplay -> Camera
    • Renamed "Toggle sprinting" keybind to "Active sprint"
    • Added new "Toggle sprint" keybind
    • Weapon reload is now cancelled while sprinting
    • Sprinting is now cancelled when the chat is activated
    • Prevented toggling Crouch when Sprint is bound to the same button and player is moving forward
GUI
  • Added Item transfer to right click context menu
    • Can be used to transfer materials between Station Storage and ship or Auction House
  • Refuel menu now shows prices with 3 decimal accuracy if the price is between 0 and 0.1
Resource Transfer
  • Fixed YOLOL fields not updating after/during a resource transfer (if the ship didn't move)
Ships
  • Increased the time for how long ships will be saved as derelict from 180 to 365 days
Ship Designer
  • Fixed selecting assets again from the Asset Browser requiring double clicking
  • Added audio to color and material selection
  • Changed the "Halloween Special" color names to just regular colors (Orange and Black)
  • Test Flight Mode tooltip
    • Changed the size and color
    • Centered the text
    • Removed the header bar
  • Removed Furnace parts from the Asset Browser

  • Ship blueprints are now toggled off when Universal Tool is closed with Blueprint tab active
  • The last zoom mode and used tab are now preserved when quitting the game
Universe
  • Added first steps in refactoring multiplayer tech so that linked objects (such as a door and its hinges) would always stay together
  • Optimized station server for sending less data
  • Fixed the game freezing for a long time after losing a connection and using Insurance Transfer
  • Fixed asteroids having an Ajatite shell under the normal surface
  • Fixed asteroids duplicating in certain conditions
  • Fixed long uploads after dropping items to the universe
Known Issues
  • Toggle Sprint with auto-run does not work
  • Auction House panels are in all marketplaces (but only function in Origin)
  • Parts built using the automatic blueprint filling do not have textures
  • Using automatic blueprint filling may leave ghost items in inventory

We have entered a development phase where significant changes are coming in every major patch. These may have a big impact on your gameplay and we are sorry about the inconvenience and possible frustration! Through these updates, the game is starting to come together and pieces are falling into place. We hope that this is also visible to all our players and everybody who follows the game. Regardless we will continue to try and notify our Closed Alpha players of the biggest incoming changes the best we can.

Key points:
  • Currently set up to the nearest moon and back to Origin
  • Takes approximately 12 minutes
  • Currently free but this may change in the future
  • Current visualizations are temporary
  • It may break ships so using it is a risk to the ship
  • If you drop from your ship or get disconnected, you end up stranded in space and lose your ship
