    Company/Group Storage

I would very much appreciate it if company storage would be added. Would make my life ten times easier!

Now that is a long reply if I have ever seen one.

PASSIVE SENSOR TYPES | How to find stuff & a reason to multi-crew

(Getting back on topic) I personally think that they would be very balanced as the devs can just tweak their detection ranges and the emissions of ship parts. And since there is probably going to be a lot of background noise, you won't be able to see very far with just the 360 sensors. I...

PASSIVE SENSOR TYPES | How to find stuff & a reason to multi-crew

I think PTU would probably be more suitable if you want to improve skills And if you think that it is enjoyable to camp the gate, go right ahead. Just for info: I have never ever been pirated even in one of my countless mining trips, because the pirates cannot find me. These 360 sensors would...

PASSIVE SENSOR TYPES | How to find stuff & a reason to multi-crew

Same here I think mining is more profitable than piracy ATM, however please prove me wrong if you think I am, because then I will take up the most profitable playstyle. Why I will not armor up my miner or have an escort (only exception is the gate transit): -Pirate finding you outside SZ is...

PASSIVE SENSOR TYPES | How to find stuff & a reason to multi-crew

I wouldn't call piracy a fundamental part of SB. The reward for the pirate VS time spent pirating makes it financially not worth it. It is only worth it ATM if you just want to shoot noobs and sealclub. If they really wanted piracy to be a part of the game, they would make it happen outside of...

No? You will be able to pick up a contact from further away the stronger their radiation footprint is. These are radiation detectors remember? A miner with 40 gens will be much more visible than a fighter with only a couple, since the square inverse law. The weaker signature emitted by the...

PASSIVE SENSOR TYPES | How to find stuff & a reason to multi-crew

I firmly believe that in PvP there should be risk and reward. I feel like the current organic PvP that we get it is much more boring that it could potentially be because of an improper risk/reward ratio. If there is more risk for the attacking party then I believe it could be more engaging and...

PASSIVE SENSOR TYPES | How to find stuff & a reason to multi-crew

I feel like by the sheer virtue of FB adding sensors that can detect others, they are adding a dynamic PvP element that isn't the gate. Although I agree on the fact that sensors might not be very useful during a siege but I don't see how that discounts their value outside of sieges.

IMO all the current "subtlety" in PvP right now comes from what kind of a ship you have and how well you have designed it. Otherwise it is an aiming contest.

Indeed. I suspect that it will take a similar effort to make this sort of system work.

PASSIVE SENSOR TYPES | How to find stuff & a reason to multi-crew

I don't know how they are going to make stealth, but I speculate that it might have something to do with materials. AKA changing materials of plates near your reactor should maybe help? Also take in to account that someone will have to program these sensors to work as they most likely will be...

PASSIVE SENSOR TYPES | How to find stuff & a reason to multi-crew

I do have some counterpoints: I wouldn't say impossible, perhaps just harder. Sensors might have blind spots and ships might have options for stealth. Maybe stealth ships will just have to have more radiation shielding (like is hinted in the ore descriptions). Also good luck picking out a...

PASSIVE SENSOR TYPES | How to find stuff & a reason to multi-crew

I only really thought about situations where you are in a convoy or something, because then it would be useful for someone to look at the radar screen and trying to find contacts / a good hotspot. You at that point probably have some excess personnel to make look at the screen and it is very...

PASSIVE SENSOR TYPES | How to find stuff & a reason to multi-crew

RIO = Radar Intercepts Officer AKA someone who looks at the radar for you in a fighter. (A real thing IRL) WSO = Weapons Systems Officer AKA someone who makes your missiles hit, sitting in your fighter as well (A real thing IRL) AAS = Asteroid Avoidance System. Basically a laserwall in a ship...
