Does this mean that all thrusters MUST be installed before I can test cockpit functionality?

Wreck Goblin Mostly a 'Ruffian' set. Green and/or Orange parts are all "Ruffian" pieces. Yellow knee, hand, and elbow, are all from "Experiment" Head, small shoulder, wrist, and yellow hip are from "Pioneer" and the other hip, and pelvis are "Infantry"

Is anyone else having issues getting these to link up and share a number? I have built two ships, and now a test circuit board, and in all instances I cannot get these to communicate. Are there any subtle criteria I may be missing? Anyone else having such an issue?

I am having issues with my Flight computers syncing up. I have both bolted down, powered (inspected via 'U'), and even directly linked to each other. Both are supplied with power from batteries and a reactor. I even went so far as to add a radiator to the loop, as that apparently influences...
