Its entropy and so the centralization of 2 dominant factions/companies is theoretically possible and probable. (Of course Devs could do monopoly smashing) Even without tagging the dominant factions could impose economic warfare depending on the mechanics. The vastness of space does make this a...
"having entirely different currencies for every. Single. Station. "
That is misrepresent my point. Sure every faction and their mother could have their own tags and be mercantile king pins. But they would be limiting themselves to their own markets. Or conquering other markets to add to their...
So welcome to my idealistic world. The topic today is tags! So here is the premises:
Credits are created normally, how the game intended it. But then factions (or even companies but they would be more useless as tags are a matter of believing in the tag and those behind it) can tag credits for...
If it can be minmaxed it will. There will be some companies/factions with 24/7 capabilities. One appears a armada appears right behind it. This idea is good but loners/non-pvp players won't have a chance. Since irl communication exists the location will get out there. If only unaffiliated...
I fear specific bounty board mechanic. Depending on how they do it of course. If its boardcasted through out all stations everywhere that would be disappointing as the feel of far flung middle of no where stations would lose that extra uniqueness. Why go to another station or even travel if a...
I think a player run bounty board would be more fun then a mechanical way to do it. Maybe have a mechanic where players/companies/factions can create quests. Therefore its tied into the real economy and not just creating random wealth. The scum force players to band together and unite. Without...
I don't think adding a toggle is a good idea. My reasoning for this is it would cut into some companies purpose and bottom line. Why hire protection companies when you can just toggle pvp off. I hope the game to be a living system, danger is a necessity for that. Giving in to single players...
I think once every company has done their grinding to muster up a small feet there will be bloodshed to carve out space. Then peace. Then smaller wars. But there are larger 1k+ groups and will eat up small companies. Its a political sim in my view xD conflict is one of the tools in the arsenal.
