Building a Factory

So I have tried this many times for a few days. First I placed items out side of factory green zone they vanished, then I placed items inside factory green zone and put station beams in there and bolted every thing down, like fuel chamber reconstruction device. But after I leave the zone or log out and come back all the things I bolt down are gone.
