I'd assume it's a basic functionality, but for the purpose of creating swing-out panels, etc, that are secured by more than one point of articulation/contact, is it possible to set any moving/rotating device as passive or mildly resistant to being moved? Not only would it allow for sturdier panel opening systems, but could allow for things like recoiled landing gear without needing another special device, a shock damper could simply be made out of a linear rail mover with a resistance setting. I'm not sure how the damage/crash model would accept that sort of utility, but could at least make panels, etc, that had a passive guided-opening motion that wouldn't have to rely on YOLOL code to be properly synced.
