Star/warp gates from base

I read a comment about warping and someone pointed out miner ships could go without being intercepted so ive thought about it and my idea is player base star/warp gates so from your base you position your gate to certain coordinates as long as you have been there before and added them to your log book then you can gate to that location but then to reposition your gate takes time so it would be slower than flying your mining ship from point a to point b and then you could sell logbooks with gate coordinates in. Also it could be size based so small fast ships would be crushed by the gate and would need tobe in a carrier ship. working on the theories that small ships are fast and weak and large ships are strong and slow but able to gate
