Is there a limit to how much you can store at a starbase? if so how do you find out?

Starbases have (as far as I know) the same limit as the origin station storage: 10000 slots

most items take 1 slot, some, such as fuel rods and propellant tanks, take more (2-4).

And then there is the possible redesign of inventory on the horizon where stations will have to have containers for your items.
