Problem:
In the closed alpha, damage testing of ships in the SSC was possible by traveling to any of the stations that had an SSC but had no safe zone. However, once the open alpha starts, there will be so such stations around and could not even be player made. All stations will have safe zones.
Solution:
Add a button in the SSC to toggle damage on / off. This way, damage testing can be done at any SSC. If not a toggle, just make damage always possible in the SSC testing mode.
Necessity of this Suggestion:
For good combat ships to be designed, it is often necessary to shoot them to see how propellant tanks exploding affects the rest of the ship, for example. Without such a way to test damage to ships in the SSC, many prototypes would have to be produced or extensive research into blast radiuses conductuted to build optimal and robust designs. This is too much burden on players with limited resources that want to design excellent, combat capable ships.
