We do 'need' more options regarding text panes. Colour, panel size, font size etc. Audible alarm coud be built in too save us sticking big beat boxes in our ships. Still - inventory crates first!
Forgive me if this seems overly basic advice - i'm unsure as to your level of experience but - you do have levers installed and connected for each direction ?
Maybe we could pull this location info from devices and use it to form a map. Maybe have a rangefinder pulsing in each of the 3 directions. Only pulsing when the ship is rotated to precisely their direction. Something to think about. Good spot.
A crate/container I can put things in. Ship parts, my tools, ammo, scrap.
Huge gameplay and QOL improvement for a relatively small addition.
I know its coming but can it have come yet? :)
People will always find a way to grief others in such games. There are many simpler ways to deal with docking anyway. Devs will likely get to it at some point.
Can cargo frames still be used to haul parts from a stripped ship back to origin / station?
I like the Nay buoys, beacons, waypoint marker idea - player droppable. An in-game map with ability to log POIs may be a better option. The game code obviously reads co-ords of each player/item at any given time.
Inventory crates first though please ! :)
The response time is too long. Maybe a task that can be given to a responsible team from the community? When players have an issue its usually a 'right now' issue - not a '7 days time' one.
... and the glare in a glass cockpit is horrible. Sticking the panes together presenting just one exterior and one interior surface may help with this. Will look into toning down reflections in my graphics settings in the interim.
