Whatever's the most effective for combat. Likely something spherical or boxy as that will allow the most protection and be the most compact/efficient.

Yes, multi-layering is an obvious step. That isn't going to be the default play experience, the standard way people will interact with the game. Having TTK be extremely short (a single shot) against noobs and very long/tanky against veterans is it's own balance concern...

That's 5 separate people that think damage was dialed up for the fighting in the trailer and dev fight videos... Is this based on anything the devs have actually stated, or is this pure assumption because you agree that TTK clearly feels too short in those videos? Also, does your assumption also...
