Voxel-based planets/moons you can mine through, like in Space Engineers. While getting to the good ores would take some time (as opposed to the asteroids), the payoff could be bigger when you encounter a motherlode.

I don't really know... on the one hand, it would allow people to make money off the game they like, but on the other, it is a slippery slope that could make the game pay 2 win (and not because of greedy developers this time!) if not handled carefully.
Nah, I think that transponders should have "display text" field that would allow you to enter any text you want, defaulting to the "[username] 's Ship". Maybe as an T2 transponder, but I think this is the best solution.
