  1. Are frigate, destroyer, cruiser, etc. useful in-game?

depending on cost per ship basses you could use a bunch of smaller ships to overwhelm a very expensive capitol ship. Also strafe runs, assuming a smaller ship can move faster and change course easier than a capitol ship. But I would imagine a capitol ship with support ships could lead to...
  2. Small-Scale Base Building

Not a fan of space trash, forming communities is a good thing. Too spread out and it'sike elite dangerous, never see anyone
  3. Should possible weapons load be related to voxel volume, or ship mass?

I like the mass idea, imagine a rail gun on a fighter, it gets 1 shot off but due to mass it flys backwards and isn't in range again to fire. Making it useless in combat. So weapons have a counter recoil, minus laser, which would need a larger power source. Same laser for all ships but more...
  4. Getting Rid Of The Wait

  6. About the release date(not psychological pressure words

Unless you want Dual universe version 2, its not ready for release. The simple core ability to totally ruin a ship which you need to mine so easily and take hours to fully figure out whats wrong with it will cause many people to not put time into it.
  7. Starbase balance & meta thread: Ship roles

maybe making certain guns only fit on certain mass size ships. example rail guns need more mass to hold them and are great long range. Lasers scale depending on how much energy can pump into them, but that is offset by mass on batteries/reactors which slow thrust down.
