I believe someone did the math and found it'd take a ton of hours (if not multiple real-world days) of flight time and a crazy large amount of fuel to reach the moon. The ship is probably designed solely for this purpose but I could be wrong.
I assume you mean the station jobs specifically but I really hope they are as that would be fun to work on parts with friends for an even split of the profits.
I forget the difference between factions and companies but rip those with pretty long names if it happens to be groups like
Lykain Contracting & Dire Industries
The Nordic Countries Space Company
Neko Conglomerate Fleetworks
Ruddy’s Construction and Burger Co
Collaborative YOLOL Learning Open...
Yeah the new cockpit design is looking more sleek and I can't wait to have all sorts of switches and buttons above and below me for various purposes >:D
Calling it this makes me think it's a separate program since normally you'd just say "spaceship creator" if it were in-game assuming people knew they were playing Starbase already lol. I'm curious to know more about the SSC now especially after seeing there are video guides added :D
I'm also...
I plan on doing this for various things like aesthetic designs as I see the devs have experimented with various patterns and designs with even their most basic plate types. I can already see people messing with thin plates to make furniture such as tables to make their ship feel more lived-in if...
I'm realizing now that the thin variants of ship plating are most likely for interior plating since it doesn't make sense to have such thick plating for the floor and inner walls to give more space while the exterior plating be thicker to provide more protection. That's my theory anyway
Sure thing! Here's the link to the version of the zip with all of the origins at the center of mass: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1t6Cdn33PfdZ_viEmYCNwyCqHCUEu9P30/view?usp=sharing
I hope it works since I just quickly threw it together. If not I'll fix it and send it again later as I have to...
Currently, all of the origins on the parts except for a couple of the tiny square plates that connect beams together are located on the corners of all of the parts. This was originally so I could snap them the grid I had going in Blender to make sure each part fit the exact measurement they were...
I've seen beveled edge square plates for 45 degree angles but so far the only triangles I've been able to spot in videos and screenshots appeared to be all right angles. I was tempted to add others but I wanted to keep it basic and strictly to what can be seen and confirmed with the photos to...
Thanks! If you have any feedback lemme know. I'll probably be slowly adding other parts since I just now realized glass is a material and have to figure out transparency in Blender which I haven't touched in a while but eventually glass panels should be added.
I might also add very basic...
Since Lauri linked the 3D models to Starbase's ship beams in the #game-faq channel on Discord, I've been eager to see what people's creations using those beams could look like with actual ship plating on them. Eventually, I noticed in one of their YouTube videos that there was a plate...
It's amazing seeing devs ask for input on things. It's crazy that sandbox mode has been talked about up to this point and there's still a possibility to not even include a sandbox mode at all but that's the nature of early access I guess.
My main concern in the end though is that learning to...
I'm most interested in ship plating since it's going to be the majority of what we'll be seeing on ships before the rest of the parts get added. We already have the frames showed off and even a zip from the devs (check the pins in the #game-faq channel) containing all of the frame pieces so...
