    Space mines

I keep saying it, mines only became an active combat thing in video games, irl mines are just really dumb guard and warning weapons, it's to prevent somebody from going near the mine or minefield, not to catch them in the blast, they have to be dumb or bold enough to charge into the mine's range...

Super heavy armour for capital ships

I haven't tried yet, but yes, you can hypothetically install gun shields on turrets instead of armoring the whole turret assembly into a gunhouse

Panning in the Spaceship Designed Is dangerous.

Oh, tab enables camera rotation? Learn something new.

    Space mines

Put an arming timer on them and set it liberally for the minelayer's benefit.

Panning in the Spaceship Designed Is dangerous.

Known danger, just be aware of your mouse cursor in dense environments or switch to the select tool as a precaution. A button to disable right-click deletion while held or remapping the pan-grab might be warranted.

    Yolol chip neural network possibility

It could work well in a factory setting, at the very least, but somehow it feels like this network would be massive.

    Different types of ammo drum

serviceability balancing depends on how the ammo boxes or whatever are reloaded and whether or not different types of weapons have different rules as to how they reload or what they're reloaded with as well as how long it takes as the modular boxes stack up

    【Discuss】Politics in the game

Politics is just the interactions between two parties to overcome disputes, divide resources, or defend the group. It's not quite international geo-politics, sure, but groups inside of MMOs frequently meet or exceed the basic criteria of simple social and political units- more like tribes and...

    Different types of ammo drum

It's been discussed, my self and I think several others are also fond of larger magazines being made into stackable assets like the modular battery and linked to their appropriate weapon by a new cable type for ammo.

Super heavy armour for capital ships

I always saw the plasma thrower as the logical "big gun" that deserved an upsizing, but the community as a whole is also extremely affectionate towards the modular-length mega railcannon. As far as logistics, the carrier promises to take more players off the front line to support carrier ops...

Super heavy armour for capital ships

To address the OP, superheavy armor is just more plates and the beam substructure to hold them. Battleships don't have super-special plating compared to cruisers or destroyers, they just have larger, thicker belts of plate over their critical sections. Adding a materials better than Oninum at...

    Bots in the game [concern]

Given there's no RL currency transactions going on and competition is almost totally emergent, the prevalence of bot swarms will be extremely amusing, all that time, effort, and watthours for pixels in a pseudo-engineering game. Griefing is one thing, that stuff transcends physics, but ah-...

    Bots in the game [concern]

cost is never an effective deterrent, it just inflates the economy, you just have to hope the system's architecture itself proves enough of a roadblock to bot development that the anti-cheat system catches what gets through development obstacles

Can we put rifles and snipers on robotic arms?

not really? it'd be more effective to carry a torpedo warhead and torp yolol module instead, that's the best sapper weapon for scuttling a ship i can think of, infantry missiles might not behave very well for the task, and ship-fired missile modules don't quite have the same behavior setting...

    Bots in the game [concern]

right but in crossout and similar games, the entities are actually targetable "blobs" labeled and tracked by the system. So far as I understand SB's systems, a bot would be targeting active transponders and endos under the same aiming principles used in arena games like crossout. Further, they...

Allow engines to be stacked lengthwise, to increase the power of the end engine.

I still want the tiered-up turbine-and-baffle megathruster concept for aesthetics (see below). Even using the straight turbine without plugging any other parts onto it, you have a larger thruster, baffling and input-thrusters just increase efficiency and accomplish the thrust-stacking concept...

    Space mines

well, the lasercannon and railgun could be fairly effective at disabling mines, but that's the age-old problem of the minefield. It sits there as a passive threat, even when you know it's there you only have two options: avoid or sweep. In either case the field is still doing its job of...

    Bots in the game [concern]

For a botted endoskeleton, which I assume is what you're focusing on, the bot owner would need a spare account and possibly a spare machine or VM to run the extra game instance (or just online the bot while they're offline) the problem is they'd need to touch the source code on the game to...

    Space mines

render bubbles are like 5km radius from the ship, 10km diameter- still mines sitting out in the sticks aren't going to be draining their fuel until ships run into them and won't really know they're present until within the 1km detection zone of the outermost mines in a field

Can we put rifles and snipers on robotic arms?

or at least have a tool attachment that can equip most rifles and small arms, maybe a more expensive heavy variant for things like the infantry missile launcher and reaper cannon to balance the utility of those weapons against actual ship weapons, as cool as it would be to have a ship with...
