We are a Yakuza-style syndicate in the universe of Starbase. We see ourselves as moody service providers, willing to take any job as long as it fits within our own personal agenda and the payment is right. Our business model: Absolute discretion. Ultimately, we use our gained assets and resources to influence the collective history of Starbase and move it in the most compelling direction, supporting or opposing the various factions of Starbase openly or from behind the scenes, willing to do whatever it takes to see our vision of the game become a reality. We have been going strong and successful for over 2 years, made many connections, and actively work on large projects.
The process
We want to give players of the Starbase Community - even outside our own faction - the chance to sign up and participate in our officers program:. We are actively recruiting for management positions for our faction.
- After review of your application, we will contact you through Discord to schedule a voice meeting with one of our current Captains and the Patriarch.

- Based on the information we receive from you, we will run a background check to ensure you are a trustworthy individual and your motivations are sincere, and that we can trust you to keep the secrets you will learn about the Ambition.
- If we determine you are trustworthy and promising, we will invite you to a special probation phase. As all new members, you will be an initiate to the Ambition, but with special permissions. We will put existing members in your care. You can assume your first responsibilities, receive meaningful tasks and get an insight into special projects we are working on at the time already.
- We will help and observe your progression within the faction and ensure you find your place in the community and have a fun time while proving what you are capable of.
- After a few weeks, we will gather impressions and feedback from the people you have been working with and the Captains that have observed you. Hopefully we will be able to confirm you for your position of choice, but if not, we will also offer you alternatives and further outlooks.

What we expect from candidates
- The Ambition does not have any kind of minimum activity requirements. We do not care about how much you have played, currently play or how much time you think you will have for the game,
What matters to us is your motivation, the quality of the time we spend together and whether you will take your responsibilities for the people in your care seriously. - The Ambition values dedication and initiative. We will help you and provide a guideline during your probation, but it will be up to you to convince us and the members you will manage that you are worthy of rising through the ranks faster than anybody else.
- Loyalty and responsibility are major values in our community. As a future Unit, Family or project leader, we expect you to be loyal to your brothers in the Ambition and act in their and in the faction’s best interest. We are team players and run our projects collectively - there is no “mine alone” in our faction.
- The drive to integrate into the faction quickly and assume duties yourself. Leadership figures are expected to work autonomously, offer help and come forward on their own. Managing your unit and providing for them, scheduling events and planning out projects should be a given to you - inside and outside the game.
- A non-negotiable requirement: You can identify with the Ambition’s goal to shape the collective history of Starbase and you are willing to do your part, no matter how large or small your portion. Our aims drive and unite us.
We offer various ranks and positions for you to assume. Each can hold fundamentally different responsibilities and is ultimately filled with what you make out of your role.
- Captains make up the Administration and are essentially members of the highest rank in the oligarchical lead faction.
As a family Captain, you will co-lead your family with another Captain. Together, the two of you plan out overall goals for your family to pursue in line with what you decide with the Captains of the other families. Additionally, Captains are also leaders of Units themselves and fulfill the same tasks as a Lieutenant. - A Lieutenant is the manager of a Unit of usually 3-5 Arbiters. As a Lieutenant, your job is to work with your unit on specific tasks given to you by your Captains or superior Lieutenant. You request and provide the required assets such as ships and weapons for your team to work with, and you lay out a strategy on which tasks are executed in which way.
- Specialists are highly trained members dedicated to the things they do best as they work in their specific niche they have chosen for themselves. We’ll give you opportunities for training, regular feedback and advice, special privileges and a generous budget to fulfill your tasks. As a specialist, you can be unit leaders, usually of other specialists, or work alone, sometimes even outside the faction.
- An active community of 50+ dedicated, mature, but easy-going players - we are all human in our community. Our only rule: Be a decent human being.
- A battle-tested, flexible structure that makes your job as a leader easy and allows you to focus on what matters - playing the game. No bullshit, no bureaucracy.
- The technical infrastructure to organize yourself and your unit properly. Our Discord server is set up to run things easily and smoothly, complemented by custom-built tools on our website with Discord integration.
- Freedom and autonomy. We respect that everybody has their own plans and ideas and plays the game the way they like. The Ambition allows you to do exactly that - Nobody will force you to do anything specific or punish you for not participating in what you did not sign up for, and similarly we respect and value the fact people have a life outside the game.
- A permanent underlying purpose in anything you do. Enhance your experience of playing Starbase as everything you do matters for your grand objective. With us,. there is an enriching sense in every single action you take.
