Centre of mass/centre of thrust tool in the spaceship designer.

Hello! I was re watching the space ship designer video and thought that a centre of mass and centre of thrust tool/indicator would be useful if added (might already be a thing sorry if that is the case) i think this would greatly benefit ship designers, making balancing less of a headache.

Thats a really neat Idea. Ship Designers would greatly benefit from that! I used to design ships in Worlds Adrift and it was really annoying to balance the ships weight without a tool to see if it was off balanced or not.

I expect they are working on it as well. If they can calculate the stresses on the beams from flight, it couldn't be that much harder to add a little floating dot to show the center of mass.

I certainly hope so, it might even be in the game already, we will know as soon as the embargo ends!

afaik devs said they're on it. Whether true or not, we do need a tool like that, I agree.

Yeah you got to have that. Even better if we can set the thrusters to different amount of thrust and adjust weight in fuel tanks in the designer

In fact, it's not necessary, but it's a little more convenient -- believe me, it's really just a little bit. When designing difficult ships, we have to rely on the most primitive method -- keep trying!
