Just a little note for those starting out currently:

You cannot yet buy a second hand ship, you must buy one from the Ship shop or the Ship Hangers(where you design ships).
And although the Vasama and variants are very cheap, they are not starter ships, it is better to go for some thing like the Hauler (and am not sure if an alternative to the Hauler has been added but I believe it is still the way to go). The Hauler sits at around 1 million credits though it was once around 500k and I believe it has been more hence if you are setting a target for yourself make sure you check the price first.
