There are "Plenty" of room in the queue for signups.
the likelyhood of getting into the closed alpha at the current time, is highly unlikely.
there are thousands of people waiting to get in, and public release is on the 17th, so not that far away.

But do sign up for it.
You might get lucky and actually get in before others :)

They're currently holding off on invites because they're reworking the new player experience, but there will probably be some big waves of invites for the alpha in order to stress-test the game prior to Early Access launch.

I've seen conflicting information regarding if testing will open to more Endos the next two weeks prior to launch.

Some say the we're too close to release to add more CA testers, and others say there may be a massive stress test close to launch, presumably before the servers are taken down.

Yea June 17th is coming up fast. Those of us who are in have been chomping at the bit to get our friends into the game so we can play with them but it has not happened.

The devs still expect to invite people, according to their latest statements in Discord. But like I said, they're trying to get the updated new player experience implemented first if they can finish it in time. Massive invite waves before Early Access launch haven't been explicitly confirmed, but it's always been the stated dev intention to use them to stress test the game during closed alpha, and going straight to Early Access launch without taking the opportunity to perform any large-scale testing at all seems pretty reckless (for example, the biggest combat tests have only involved low 3 figures of players so far).
