If you want to just be a citizen of the Empire and not be involved in running major parts of the Empire, then just let a Mod or Manager know how you want to help the Empire & the Military out with.

Imperial Military Benefits:
Paid missions & patrol duties,
Training and placement into a structured chain of command,
Community driven projects and operations,
Being awesome,
Access to fleet combat once Early Access starts,
Automatic Citizenship, and
No mandatory scheduling, duties will be assigned to who wants the work.
