Seriously though, just extra clutter that adds minimal, if any, gameplay benefits but would negatively impact everyone on the server. I'd rather have bigger/more ships. Maybe if they were only enabled in stations considering in space on ships you'd never see the pets anyhow.

Considering there is no atmosphere teased. Any pets that do end up in the game would have to be a very alien design.
Or a vacuum capable robo dog.
