Although field repairs are by hand, can we have repair stations that auto repair your ship based on your blueprints? If you fought a autogun or laser ship, your hull will be filled with tiny holes and repairing them with the building gun will be a huge pain. Fixing a plate with holes is almost as much work as building a new one.
