The ship I'm currently developing has been spending more than a month, and if my PC breaks and disappears, it's likely that I'll be discouraged from continuing the game.
Space Engineers, From the Depth, Empyrion, and Stormworks could easily save their work to the cloud using the workshop.
I know I can manually save blueprint files to the cloud, but it's a bit annoying for everyday use.
I think Starbase also needs an easy way to save in the cloud.
Regarding capacity issues, I don't think it's a huge amount of data considering that the ship's "parking" information can be stored on the server.
