STU - what's the deal with armour rebalance? pls explain.

I notice in the DEV item menu all materials have had their values changed, for what seems to be an effort at rebalancing armour.
Though it's not actually in effect it seems, the SSC still has live version material stats, and ingame mechanics still function like the stats are the same as live.

So I really want an explanation on the proposed materiel stat changes. How is this supposed to improve things?

At first glance, its an effort to make magic HP (the original devil) basically non-existent, reserved only for plates made of alloys.
I'd like to point out that all this will do is simply make people use alloys instead of your typical armour mats instead, AKA no real functional change at all.

it'll also but a wedge between people who have access to/can craft alloys.

It won't do anything to change actual fights, people will just swap their materials out for alloys. The issues with the core damage mechanics still prevails even without magic hp.

I know that FB somewhat recognizes that combat needs to be looked into (as it should, since its the #1 way people interact), but a stat 'rebalance' isn't going to do much other than simply shift things around, metas abuse issues with the damage mechanics not material stats.
