We've thought about implementing some small cosmetic in-app purchases in the future, but even if that ever happens we'll make sure that the best cosmetics are always obtained by playing the game.

And what about the expansions? Will they be free like in EVE Online?

I think it's a little early to think about expansions, we're focused on getting the game into Early Access first. But who knows about the future, as said not even sky's the limit in Starbase.

Cool You could go a bit EVE's way and allow the best skins/cosmetics and deco stuff to be obtained in the game AND (if someone wants them just now) make them available in the game real money market (if there will ever be one)

Not gonna lie, I just realized I am more hyped for this game than I realized.
As an individual in the Technical Engineering field, having a game that allows for coding of entities for use is an awesome idea to be hyped for!
