Update 8.7.2020 (Build 210)

New Features

  • Spaceship Designer Paint Tool

Animations

  • Added one-handed tool stand idle animation
  • Added one-handed tool stand relaxed idle animation
  • Added one-handed tool universal tool idle animation
  • Added one-handed tool universal tool transition animation
  • Added one-handed tool crouch relaxed idle animation
  • Added one-handed tool crouch universal tool idle animation
  • Added 1st person landing animation for universal tool
  • Added 3rd person one-handed tool fire animation
  • Fixed 1st person generic jump animations not looking like the way are supposed to
  • Polished 3rd person one-handed tool draw and holster animation
  • Tweaked 1st person jump and landing related animation blending
  • Pickaxe, (default mode, 1st person), now has unique jump and landing animations
  • Updated idle direction animation logic

Assembly Job

  • Assembly Job and Mining Job now have correct text instructions

Audio

  • Added ship weapon flyby sounds
  • Fixed broken Laser Turret sounds
  • Automatic weapons now use invidual shoot sounds for two first rounds and then crossfade to looping retriggering sound. Sound doesn't match visuals anymore, but will sound consistent even when visual and bullet spawning isn't, which feels much better.

Chat & Social

  • Added option for showing background when receiving messages
  • Added friend request notification to chat

Devices

  • Added "State", "FlowIn", "FlowOut" Message ID:s for Resource Bridges
  • Fixed pick up not following Resource Bridge FlowIn device field
  • Fixed voxel collisions for Rangefinders
  • Fixed Ore Crate contents' mass not affecting the mass center of a structure (ship)
  • Disabled Resource Network advance halting on async side for now as it causedsome unexpected issues
  • Allowed Rangefinders to hit their own entity, only avoiding to hit the device component itself
  • Changed the name of Basic Yolo Chip Reader to Outdated Yolol Chip Reader

Economy

  • Fixed Proia Station's economy to correct position
  • Adjusted crafting data for:
    • Rechargeable Battery
    • Machinery
    • Electronics
    • Weapons
    • Resources (ammo etc.)
  • Adjusted economy configs to meet new crafting data requirements (to make items not too expensive)

Emotes

  • Added versions of /shutdown emote for crouch and prone

Feedback Tool

  • Fixed screen capturer's screenshot feature to not incorrectly delete previous screenshots

  • All windows (ships and station parts) are now made out from Bastium, Tengium and Ajatite
  • Material Cubes' material amount now corresponds to their voxel volume
  • Picking up Ore Crates is now limited to empty Ore Crates
  • Ore and Material Cubes will no longer appear as damaged

  • Added log entries for "Loaded: X" and "Saved: X" after saving/loading finishes
  • Added locales for pipe, cable and furniture layer opacity settings in settings menu
  • Added 'overlap detected' dialog message

Player

  • Implemented initial smoothed lod level changes
  • Added support for noised shadow map visibility
  • Fixed motion vectors for dynamic geometry (increases memory usage)
  • Added extra bit for noised fade
  • Added TAA history reset when motion vectors appear (or sampling outside the screen)
  • Added bloom history reset when motion vectors appear
  • Fixed motion vectors for moving objects
  • Fixed Resolution changes in Settings Menu being overwritten
  • The planet should cast a soft edged shadow on asteroid belt now, with a softer transition from light to dark
  • Optimized Asteroid Belt rendering to be faster

Tools

  • Bolt Tool:
    • Improved displaying of boltable locations and allowed snapping the Bolt Tool aim to them more accurately
  • Build Tool:
    • Added clear required resources
    • Fixed Material Cubes to only consume material corresponding to the content of the Cube
    • Fixed occasional failures in converting building materials to entries
    • Fixed applying FlowOUt to material flow via Resource Bridge
    • Fixed multiple-material consumption
  • Pipetool:
    • Aim sphere is now bigger
  • Added support for filling magazines with ammos from stacks

Trade

  • Disabled trading for complex items as a temporary fix
  • Fixed the check for item collection

Visuals
  • Updated visual effects:
    • Laser Rifle projectile effect
    • Autocannon muzzle flash
    • Autocannon projectile vfx
    • Hit effects
    • Horizontal muzzle flashes
    • Long Rifle vfx, muzzle flash is more horizontal and more intense
    • Laser Beam texture
  • Added visual effects:
    • Antigel hit particle effect
    • Antigel muzzle flash effect
    • Added a rectangle glow texture
    • Added a projectile texture
  • Removed emissive value from the ice ore

UI

  • Fixed Universal Tool not ignoring back item
  • Changes are not applied if the selected grid multi selection button is clicked again (for example no longer causes textures to load again if the same texture level is selected again)
  • Fixed crash when renaming bindsets
  • Changed the amount of saved insurance points to 15
  • Added ship blueprint related keybinds to menu

Known issues

  • Items moved from hand slot straight to station storage do not unequip properly
  • Small freezes when approaching Proia station
  • Resource items disappear when picked up from universe (propellant tanks, fuel rods and batteries)
  • Friend requests in chat are missing localization and appear on group channel
  • One or more ship platform terminals near Origin's Command Center do not update visually
  • Spaceship Designer Paint Tool doesn't sync changes to clients in Spaceship Designer Edit Mode
  • Lamps in lot blueprints cannot be built
