what about planets?

I've been following all of the news on starbase for a while now but I haven't seen any news about what will be happening with actual planets.

I saw recently that the devs made a post on the forums somewhere asking for votes to name a planet and that got me interested in what the future of the game is going to look like for different types of planets through the universe. Have the devs said anything about different interactions players can have with planets like landing on them or even just going into the atmosphere? Also as a side note have they said anything about other solar bodies like black holes or nebulas?

There are 10 moons that you can land on (one has already been visited twice). However, there are no atmospheric or gravitational effects of these moons (yet).

Also, there have been talks of gas clouds that might damage your ship as you pass through them.
