So sad they could never finish it. I would have liked to know what was holding it back. From what I understand they wanted box to physically hold the goods inside, that might have been way too complex to implement...
Of all the things that are missing right now in this game, having a reason to transport goods from one station to another is probably one that is sorely missing. If we had, for example, a large NPC station buying stuff from the players (possibly selling back uncraftable items for player uses)...
Actual members of those factions would be in a better position to say where they should be... If any are left playing. But now that we have capital ships and gates, they could be anywhere in the moon system. However I think being on opposite side of EOS could do just fine. Maybe add a few gates...
For having spent a lot of time in the SSC, I see your point and I agree. Currently it's way too easy to replace whole ships and have an armada of them. Of course I assume it won't remain that way if the devs gets around to continue developing the game. I am sure they never meant the game to be...
There was some talks about being able to chose a BP of our choice when applying repair to a ship, charging us with the difference in cost. I wonder if it is still worked on...
We are halfway there. They did reduce significantly the safe zones of Moon City and the Moon gate, going to the moon is now dangerous. Moon craters have all the valuable stuff on the moon but you can't cover it with a SZ so anyone mining there is a free target for the opportunists. Of course I...
But they reduced safe zones at the moon gate and Moon City, returned the graveyard and large resources craters cannot be owned, only fought over. There is plenty of opportunities for PVP on the moon and around it. Fighting over resources for control isn't there yet but we can at least find...
I think they already did make a change that might make quite a few players leave for the moon. The graveyard is back, and the moon City now has it's own auction house and ship designer. The moon may become the next home of many players.
I think their biggest mistake was to focus too much on big features and not add the minor stuff they could already do. Players will keep interested if they have new things to try. Players may not find waiting months interesting for a huge feature they may not even care about.
