I'm gonna easy build my heart out, Well, I'm going to mine a bit then easy build a bit.
here's hoping free ore isn't too far off, I want to explore easy parts and their various rotations
there's better armor in the game already - I think the main reason noone uses much of it is we're waiting on solid ship firepower that would make being slower worthwhile. Current turrets are slow/sloppy, new systems are coming soon
Asteroids are also heavy and not structurally sound. You might be able to build something inside of one, but it might not be practical to move one with thrusters due to the weight or due to not being able to connect enough beams to have a solid structure that doesn't just fall apart when you try...
The new "resource bridge" you can see being used with a mining ship in recent update videos is also supposed to allow refueling of propellant. I believe that system isn't finished in game yet, but is supposed to be ready for closed alpha
The last time they told us any details, explosions were strong enough that they basically remove everything in a radius, so some extra empty space can be helpful. (also between propellant tanks, which explode when damaged enough)
There aren't many things that can attach moving objects. (hinges/sliders and turntables) None of them hold large amounts of weight. (I believe mounting the max 3 railguns on a turntable will bee enough to start to slow it down)
With the recent changes to weapon power requirements and batteries, more guns == significant extra weight. It'll be interesting to see how they continue to balance everything.
Check out devices and device fields on the wiki. (and/or watch the yolol video on youtube)
:t6 is the name of the thruster device field that turns on a particular thruster. (it can be set anywhere from 0 to 100, as a percent of maximum thrust) :roll is the name of the current setting of the...
Ultimately, the only thing chips can "do" is read and write device fields. There's an article on the wiki that lists them all, or you can just look up specific devices to see what you can fiddle with with yolol.
May favorite camera suggestion is still giving people the option to remove their head and like bolt it onto something else and still see through it (as long as it doesn't get shot up)
