  1. Stowaways

So let's say I have boarded the ship of another, taken control, and have flown it back to my base to dismantle it for resources. What would happen if the original owner was hidden away on board? Would they be able to sneak out and steal or destroy everything in my station lot? Would the game...
  2. Starbase - 15 Minutes of Uncut Combat discussion thread

I would much rather not have a lead indicator, small fast fighters will be much more viable if they can evade fire.
  3. Will one efficient design suppress all creativity?

I didn't think about the required exposure of cockpit and gunner stations, the lack of a third person camera will give all ships a discernable weakness.
  4. Will one efficient design suppress all creativity?

Maybe drag could effect the speed of cubes and spheres with more severity than it would sleeker ships? Best i can come up with.
  5. Are robots good?

I would rather the devs focus their resources on finishing the game they set out to make rather than diverting resources to add humans and aliens or whatever which would also totally contradict the game's backstory with no discernable benefit other than pleasing a few people who "don't want to...
  6. Will one efficient design suppress all creativity?

I love the creativity of designing cool spaceships and the idea of taking them into combat against other people's creations. However, i have seen it happen before in these type of games where one particular way of building ships is clearly superior to all other designs and eventually all...
  7. Are robots good?

If they did humans then they would have to code pressurized environments and we would have to worry about breathing and decompression ect. It makes things easier and more realistic to use robots, adding other things wouldn't bring anything at all to gameplay so totally pointless
  8. PSA: Player-Created Stations coming AFTER (EA) Launch.

Respawning on a ship doesn't seem all that important, looks like the ships die before the players in all the combat videos.
  9. Starbase - 15 Minutes of Uncut Combat discussion thread

I love the video! Combat looks like a lot of fun!
  10. Steam price release suggestion...

40 dollars is more than fair for an innovative game like this. People spent thousands if dollars on ships for the Star Citizen scam and Starbase is basically a voxel version of what they promised and actually real.
  11. Technology of Starbase? What would you like to see?

Last thing i want to see is a bunch of GIFs or memes or whatever. Especially if they are in a safezone where i can't shoot them until they are unrecognizable.
  12. A free station

What you need to do is create a big neutral faction purposed toward defending said freeport and also offer fuel in a resource rich area with no other stations built. You will need to have a faction dedicated to its defense or some other faction will contest the safezone and take it for themselves.
  13. The fall of Kingdom and Empire

Starbase is about players writing their own stories, when these factions fall it will be at the hands of powerful player factions, and we will see it coming.
  14. Concerns with Single Player

Sandbox mode sounds pretty boring, i doubt it will draw away many from the online game since there won't be any npcs or any non player content. It will probably be more used for testing stuff out.
  15. VoIP do we need it?

Not everyone likes using VOIP with strangers so if it is forced on everyone that would be very obnoxious to me. If VOIP is implemented there absolutely must be an option to disable it, if not i would much rather it not be included at all. Having to constantly mute individuals would be horribly...
  16. VoIP do we need it?

I just worry that people would expect me to respond to their voice chat when i have everyone muted and might just shoot me instead of typing a message. If in game voice is a thing then i hope the game will display which players have it active and which have everyone muted.
  17. VoIP do we need it?

What is wrong with text? Voice communication is far more personal and with strangers is sometimes too unpleasant on the toxic internet. A good chunk of people will want to turn it off which will render it useless overall for communication.
  18. About ship's moving parts

Would it be possible to have a platform on rails that can disconnect from a power cable and reconnect with another cable at a different location?
  19. Station rules of engagement

I like the idea of station assaults taking days as opposed to hours. I really don't want to have to be on call at all hours to protect a station. I really don't see a problem with regard to small vs. Large groups, this system would encourage small groups to create coalitions, which will...

Thanks for the info, sounds interesting
