Sound device issues + updated retro starbase

I am finding so many issues arise from using the audio signal device.

Anyone else having issues with this

It slows down tick rate when triggered
Screws up chip queuing
And all around is causing buggy behaviour

I dont understand why triggering the client to play a sound should have such a dramatic negative effect on the operation of yolol


Starbase within starbase full gameplay

firing bullets
level boss fight
increasing difficulty levels

I wonder if it's synced with the server differently than other device operations so any nearby players can hear the sound as well? Seems pretty bad though!

Yeah.. that's my line of thought too

But technically all devices and yolol is synced for other players

So perhaps it's because the sound device was added late and was some hacky implementation where it's like a whole new layer of syncing of its own.. if you dont trigger sounds it doest activate, but when you trigger a sound this extra process activates.. perhaps as a sub process to yolol.. cause yolol to delay the tick until that sub process completes
