Understanding Propellent

Anyone know a good way to figure out how much propellent should be stored for a ship? I'm building a large miner currently and I imagine im gonna require at least 4 tanks, also does having a huge amount of small tanks turn your ship into a bomb?

On the forums there are people who looked at the fuel to energy ratio of the thrusters. If you do the math you should be able to find out how much fuel you will need. Because u have ur number of thrusters, the weight of your ship and the distance you want to fly

Here's calculator for both propellant and fuel rods.

Small tanks are much safer than big ones. They have much lower blast radius, so are easier to place to prevent chain explosion
