I think about 45 for the turrets and 1 pilot and about 20 repairmen, so about 66. Tho the minimum for it to work is 47, 45 gunmen, 1 pilot, and 1 repairman.

This is my idea for a dropship of a troop transport ship, called the RWI Aries.

Crew: 1Pilot, 3 gunmen, 2 repairmen
Capacity: about 16 soldiers

Yes I think is practical because RWI has over 400 people and I think that we will need large ships to help the fighters.

Does the destroyer have any internal hangers for transports or fighters

Yes, it does but not for transports only the fighters which it has 2 of, the carrier is slightly larger and has a massive internal hanger.
