There are some merits to a wipe. But I think the closest to full launch the last wipe should be is enough time to rebuild most of that essential infrastructure. Still, I can only see such a wipe neccessary, if the changes since EA launch have made it neccessary, and not to rebalance.
Another...
I did not mean oppressing in that way, more like vassalize and terrorize way.
I agree with the sentiment of dont cry if you get attacked in a PvP area (any area outside safezones is a PvP area), especially that we have the safezones that are intended to be entirely playable, and the player not...
TLDR: Existing infrastructure would help new players more than hinder them thanks to no built-in GPS and other QoL features that players can make themselves
There has been talks about wipe or not to wipe after EA ends and the game goes full release. The main talking points I came across for a...
I kind of agree, but cameras can easily be made redundant, and could be hidden under several layers or glass on top of the extreme redundancy (dozens of seperate cameras per direction kind of extreme), so cameras definitely are a concern, and even the devs dont seem to be sure what to do with...
Kinda yes, but not at all. To replicate this functionality with rangefinders, you'd need a huge structure, Loads of yolol, and get a crappy low fps image. And it would eat a metric shit ton of computational power, as that rangefinder array would essentially be a raytraced image.
A dedicated...
A lot of ppl would like to have cameras for ship parking and the like, me included. And a lot of ppl would not like armored cube designs, where the bridge of the ships are buried under several layers of of armor with only the cameras providing vision, me included. One solution would be to make...
1) I don't quite like the idea of a power armor, but I don't know why
2) you could codelock your doors to your yolol chips and make the doors and walls out if some very hard material. And even include traps like they enter, get locked into a room, and if they don't enter a correct code within a...
the problem with that is that yolol is 0.2 seconds per line, so you pretty much can only do 5 pixels per second, unless you have a massive array of rangefinders.
