PASSIVE SENSOR TYPES | How to find stuff & a reason to multi-crew

Who did? I saw your post as I was skimming. The guys I know who do it regularly have highly specialized ships designed to make life the easiest they can for the pilot of their fighter. There is a lot of YOLOL that makes the operations of it smoother and more efficient. Anything less, and the...

PASSIVE SENSOR TYPES | How to find stuff & a reason to multi-crew

I will vouch for multiple people being able to one on 3. I know an entire group made of people who have done that. You can watch some of their exploits on CaptainJack's youtube channel in his starbase videos.

Mouse Control - just one request

How many people are actually playing the game and what equipment do they use and prefer? I don't care about most people. Most people don't play space combat games. I care about what is the better experience. Mouse control for flight is trash in 2D space. It's not going to suddenly be better in...

"The game world itself is too big, too empty and too boring", and other stories about how sieges and capitals themselves ain't the saving grace.

You have to pick your target market. "Everyone" is not a viable market to target. That's why games have a synopsis when you go to buy it. That synopsis is meant to attract a certain kind of player. If that player is not you, that's on you, not the developers or marketers.

Mouse Control - just one request

I'd rather have joystick control rather than mouse control. Which I don't think SB natively supports either.

"The game world itself is too big, too empty and too boring", and other stories about how sieges and capitals themselves ain't the saving grace.

This is a game sold as PvP focused and player driven. How you guys think that jives with WoW-esque content is beyond me. No one says that caps and seiges are a saving grace. This entire thread was based upon a false premise. So far I've read proposals that revamp the game to a clone of other...

"The game world itself is too big, too empty and too boring", and other stories about how sieges and capitals themselves ain't the saving grace.

Recatek wants a completely different game than was sold to us. I wouldn't support much of what he proposes. The seige system is supposed to be a core feature. Not another floor in the mining and building pillar. It's supposed to be a significant amount of the activity and driver of the games...

Let's discuss: Who was the target audience for the EBM?

Pretty sure the target audience is the people who play SE and the like who are used to playing with blocks. However, copying others outright frustrates both the effort to be different, and the players who decide to use that system. It's not easy, it's frustrating. No one appears to like it...

I was all the baffled. I walk away from here for a week and boom. Moneyloo doesn't know how the game works XD

Have you even played the game? You design a ship once. Then you save it and can build as many times as you want after. Just what?

"The game world itself is too big, too empty and too boring", and other stories about how sieges and capitals themselves ain't the saving grace.

let me say my gripe in another way. I want my ship to move. I like large ships. Caps don't move outside of teleportation. Civcaps can't fly in the belt either. Meanwhile they take a niche the large ships actually perform better than small ships, and replace that utility with caps. I also...

    some ideas for the game

It's a popular request because it's what other games do. Being a copycat does no one any favors. people come here with expectations. But that's their problem. FB's job is to manage expectations. Which they've done by saying that is not the defining segment of the game, and they wish to minimize...

One example of having to go far away no matter what is the moon resources. They're exclusive to certain moons. Most likely the only viable way to do it will be with caps. Which I believe takes from the game tbh. But strangely enough, your cargo ships to trucks analogy does make me less...

    some ideas for the game

Them being open to departure makes it no less a departure. I also saw their openness on the subject. Nothing about it leads me to believe that they want dungeons, mobs, and so on.
