Having vast loads of safe wealth that people horde distorts the economy. Nothing in a pvp game should be wholly safe. However, with civ caps you can safely move materials and assets without ever being in danger. Ever. Thats not how you make a good game that is so aimed at player interaction and pvp.
I'm not even an avid PvP'er. I love to PvP, but for me the challenge is in the ship design. I want to see my creations fighting and then improving on them. Its just too expensive now. I don't even want to pirate people. I want fleet battles. To lead my guys into a fun melee of space combat.
I...
The safe zones are definitely out of hand. As are the safety mechanics. Its just making everyone unhappy. I get its early on, but we went from one safe zone for all and then station safe zones, to safe zone ships, safe zone moon cities, safe zone gates. Its rather disgusting.
All of the...
I'm the leader of the Federation (Concordian Federation ingame. Someone stole my faction name from alpha and the CM's are swamped) and we're part of the Concordia Alliance, with the Republic, Tactical, Nomads, and a good number of other groups.
My point was more that you make your own content. My groups is to beat on the Collective, with all the related aspects that go into that venture. Including what you list.
I find it odd that in a massively multiplayer game, nobody wants to interact with anyone else, and wants the devs to spoonfeed them content. Why are you not making missions? The Concordia alliance is at war. We're running missions daily. We're buying from other groups, setting up supply lines...
Ya, you would ensure your last autosave was what you wanted to save, and then move that autosave file elsewhere on the computer. Given alpha is gone, idk what you can do now.
Resource bridges are an inelegant solution. They should have a socket to plug them in. Now we get ugly glowing strings all over the place.
Honestly, they should scrap capital ships entirely. I don't understand why you guys are excited for capital ships when the stations don't even work.
They can move regularly. The other thing is that they nullify the very idea of borders in the game. Which I think is something important to be reflected. They can bounce past all your defenses and appear deep inside your territory.
Hitting and running doesn't really have a time limit. Mongols...
This sooo bad. STations are bugged to hel and need a lot of work. This iteration on stations is worse than the ones we had in CA. At least those didn't eat my resources like mad.
Capital ships shouldn't be even on the drawing board until stations function properly.
They shouldn't have been an idea to add to the game to begin with tbh. There were so many good alternatives to capital ships, and incentivizing nomadic hit and run attacks from pirates that obtain a capital...
Could there be a ship version of the tripod and an infantry version of it that can't be mounted on ships? Keep the power requirement on the ship one, but get rid of the resource bridge, and give us a reason to use the sockets that were just updated to power panels.
In CA the tripods couldn't...
