Loving the sound of this. Having the microtransactions on cosmetic items only would be a nice way to support FB too :)
I really love the idea of special cosmetics earned at certain battles and such too, really really cool!
Yea! I think that would be really cool. But hopefully, you protect your station well enough not to be spied on!
I do like the idea of having a room where people can come together and work on a design or multiple in a larger dome-like room where blueprints show up in the center bits as miniature...
Yea the dome idea I had mentioned was for the multiplayer world as a design room so to speak, where you and others can look at a blueprint in the center of the room that you kinda zoom onto and build on the miniature, but for you being the builder(s) you would see it like you were there building...
This I definitely agree with. But I still think there should be that testing bit, but it should come later. But I did grow fond of my dome like editor station part, that would be really cool to have for the multiplayer
Yea exactly! I had envisioned it like faction access, a friend (selected access) or private.
So if you wanted to you could choose who can and can't interfere with your designs, or if they can just view it or not. It sounds like the most promising thing for me right now, it would be really cool...
In a way this is what I responded with just above, could be something like that if you had it integrated. But again I think it would be nice like the way me and Frey mentioned. Just a tiny world where you and a few friends can test things, a testing area rather than a singleplayer world
This gave me an idea of having a large structural bit for stations where you enter them, it's like a dome and it's like a mini world where you just edit the ships, people can come in and view what you are creating. Like a hologram blueprint where they see blocks being added on as you are in a...
That does sound like a good expansion on what I had mentioned, I agree with that. As long as you've mentioned too, that it is only seen as a testing ground and nothing of it's own gamemmode
I would simply say to just have it as a bit in the menu.
- Play
-Blueprint Editor
-Settings
-Credits
-Exit
Something like this, so it's not a proper world where you run around mining and such, but just a testing platform for the moveable parts inside your creations, station or ship. A safe...
That's what I been arguing for more or less the entire time. instead of having it be a proper singleplayer small world restricted, unlike the multiplayer world. that it instead will just be a part of the main menu that is "Blueprint Editor" where you can create a station or ship and test out if...
But they will have to learn one way or the other, so why make it so much harder by not letting them test the more complicated methods? For instance doing a test on YOLOL where the entire ship may blow up if you try to execute it and then it takes you another week just to try again because you...
Those are some pretty good points. But from what I have read through these 2 or 3 threads my conclusion is to not have a sandbox and just wait to see what the general feedback of the game is. I myself have barely ever touched any MMO but I was instantly drawn to this because of its differences...
That's a good idea. I mean you can take the time of EA to decide whether or not it would be something players desperately wanted for their experience to improve. But like many people have stated it may take off the main instance experience if people are off doing their own thing in the sandbox...
That's good to know.
I'm glad you are going to support all types of different ship designs allowing players to play out their personal preference of playstyle. It will be cool to see what they come up with then.
I'm curious as to what tactics players will take utilizing their playstyles too...
That's good then :)
And that's what I was trying to bring forth, that I wouldn't like to see something that replaces the main instance of the game that could draw people out, making it less populated. I'm definitely for private servers though as long as they don't do that
I myself am not much for who sees this or that first in the multiplayer counter singleplayer, but I had described in a similar thread to this one how I think the singleplayer should act. But I believe having a smaller "battle zone" like such would be nice to have with friends also, if you just...
This, as I mentioned a comment above, is similar to what I was arguing to see the singleplayer of Starbase become. As for Starmade and EVE I share your thoughts, but I think in Starbase you could solve it with having singleplayer just being blueprint editors with a simple test flight mode. So...
