you cant build a capital ship without stations. why is anything else being talked about. nothing else matters till stations are working. this is the backbone of living outside of origin!!!
and this space block you call a station is a joke!
if it stays someone will spam these space blocks to grief other stations cause its possible.

Well, groups of people can grief this way. Each person only gets 3.

Stations should be the highest priority. PvP mechanics second. The fluffy frilly moons and capital ships a distant third.

Come on guys... Why so many whinge here?

If developers aren't working on your specific issue, it doesn't mean their doing something not right.

At this moment, I saw enormous efforts with fixing bugs. And as for me, and most of other people with I am playing this game (corporation), now, the game can be playing relatively smooth (with some experience, you know which actions cause bugs and by so, they can be avoided. Anyway, rest of the bugs not so crucial)

Overall, the reason why our corporation doesn't play that game is There is no global content... what does it mean?

There is no global purpose to be pursued. No wars, trade routes, trade wars, fight for a reach spot and etc.
^ Ex.: What purpose of mining right now, build a bigger miner? For what? Build even larger and expensive one?

So, I really support developers with their effort to bring more content to the game asap. And I really enjoy the fact, that they do debugging at the same time. Keep it this way!!!

And don't misunderstand, Frozenbyte really listen their audience. But they need global strategy, not just satisfy the whims of the players. Understand it.

(P.S. That game is really complex. I don't know a game with that size. There couple with similar settings, but they are not so detailed as this one is. Eve Online for ex. Is in development about 20 years, but there is no such ship/station construction & physics. Others I won't even mention, because their universe doesn't support 1000s players at the same time, or just pieces of buggy bugs, placed on other bugs.

I can't understand, how FB could create within 5 years such gem even with current state (I am familiar with game development, not a specialist though), so I wish them to keep it this way!)

i have been watching this game for years
i was in CA
you say they are making progress, well its like me digging a hole to put in a pool, i'm making progress in the hole but the hole is in the wrong place. this is how i see the development of how they are working the stations and the focus of the game!
the making stations in CA are like origins stations, the space cubes we have now are all wrong! and hell they don't work, they yeet ships parked at them randomly and randomly delete everything at them. so you cant use them. so there is no workaround other than not use them like you should not use the easy build hall to make ships! without working stations, you will never have anything to fight over as everyone is stuck in origin. and yet all we see from patch notes is moons and capital ships... you cant make a capital ship without a working station, capital ships have no per-pus without working stations. stations are the KEY to making this world work, and it looks like they threw away all the CA time working on stations to last minute make a completely new station concept that is completely flawed in its making and how it will be used!
yes they have made a neat looking game. but now they are digging this hole in the wrong spot. not all progress is good progress!

There is always a reason behind the scenes. They aren't stupid (but can be mistaken though, but it's too early to judge. And we don't know what idea or issue forced to such changes). There could be perfomance issues/ gameplay problems/ hard to implement, develop, maintain such approach.

And again, it takes years to develop games like this. It's not even released, with my understanding and experience with other projects, it will take 2-5 years for the game to be looked as a working product.

Easy build mode for stations is literally to cater to casuals. A mistake every modern game seems to make.

It was also a build mode thrown into the actual game world for who knows why where the most bugs/lag exist without ever testing it in CA! EBM was a serious shot in the foot and should have been added into the build editor. Where A. it made the most sense to add it and B. where it would have the least issue. Instead it turned into one of the biggest blunders/reasons people leave the game because the game cannot handle the finer controls of building with everything else in the world existing. The netcode just isnt there to support such things yet.

I fully agree with you, making systems for casuals is a waste. Instead of making gimmicks like EBM they need to commit to streamlining the build editor. Which is what everyone actually wanted and requested...

i do not want just a working product...
i want a game that will be around for years. i want this to be a big successful game with a thriving community. but space cubes are going to turn this into a spam fest and will cause the game to die out too fast.

What do you propose for stations? Welding each individual part by hand in space? Get back to me when you even bother doing that with a decent sized ship. EBM for stations is pretty much the only reasonable method to use since you cant use the design hall for them and manually doing it for everything else its tedious at best.

There was a station designer back then in closed alpha.
I didnt play the closed alpha, but i assume you could spawn them fully constructed out of the aether anywhere in space with infinite resources. Which would be awful in a mature game waking up and some dude rolled into your area and plopped down a 3 cubic kilometer station next door.

there was a printer. you would load a blueprint and feed a printer, automatically make and add parts to the station. was way better design, looks amazing, but now we get uneasy build space cubes!

its even more ridicules to wake up and someone added space cubes safe areas around your station as it is now

the sad reality of this game is the devs have focused there attention to a casual player. but fail to see if your playing this kind of game, the casual player is the minority in this community/style of game play.
the devs have turned there back on the spirit of the game they have been advertising for years to cater to a minority and this is sad!
