Gameplay

    • Requires a Station Foundation Blueprint Projector to start on building the station
      • Can be placed to a suitable spot and activated from a button to cast the blueprint and create station storage
    • After the Foundation Unit has been finished, Station Designer can be accessed via a terminal inside the building

        • Consumes 1M per second when running optimally
        • Recommended to be used by buying the Electricity Resource to storage and providing to printer through cable connection to Utility Box

      • Blueprint chip
        • Provides printer with list of objects to build for a specific station module

        • Draws the materials required for each printed item from Station storage
        • Outputs printed items to station storage once complete
    • Printer device field operation
      • Starting the printer: switch PrinterControl field to 1 (in the Universal tool)
      • Restarting the printer in case of problems: switch PrinterControl field to -1 (in the Universal tool)
      • Follow single part printing status from PrinterStatus field
        • 0: printer is idle
        • 1: printer is reserving materials for current item

Known Issues
  • 3D printer
    • Does not update inserted blueprint chip information before printing is activated
    • Sometimes fails to move created item to storage (stuck at PrinterStatus 3)
      • Workaround: reset printer by switching PrinterControl field to -1, then back to 1 to restart printing
  • Interior Designer
    • Building bolted objects causes the bolts to be built inconsistently
      • Bolts in the blueprint may not get built even though the blueprint around them gets built
      • Bolts may disappear instead of getting built
      • Objects may get welded into the lot and can be detached only with the Welding Tool
    • Bolts placed in Interior Designer cannot be removed after they are built in the universe
    • Picking up objects placed in Interior Designer does not work when they are built, and dragging them to Station Storage makes them disappear
  • Cable and Pipe tool may create extra stacks to the inventory, if Mouse Button 2 is spammed when a new stack is formed
  • Multiplayer station building is not yet supported
  • Multiplayer lot building is not yet supported
  • Station Foundation Blueprint Projector will disappear if not activated and left in space (player logs out or goes away)
  • Station Foundation Blueprint Projector cannot be picked back up to inventory after it is placed
  • Player-made stations' lot renting by other players is currently not supported yet
  • Station blueprint info may sometimes not show in the universal tool
  • Some station parts may not yet be available in the Marketplace
Closed Alpha disclaimer:
We have entered a development phase where significant changes are coming in every major patch. These may have a big impact on your gameplay and we are sorry about the inconvenience and possible frustration! Through these updates, the game is starting to come together and pieces are falling into place. We hope that this is also visible to all our players and everybody who follows the game. Regardless we will continue to try and notify our Closed Alpha players of the biggest incoming changes the best we can.

Station builders!
Please note that, in the future, we will be preventing station constructions that are not snapped to the Station Foundation unit either directly, or through another construct linked to the foundation!

This means that blueprints created with constructs not snapped or linked to the Foundation units will eventually not work. Stations with such constructs that have already been built to the universe before this future change will likely stay in the universe but will not be connected to the station. The system will work similarly as it does with lot building.

So remember to snap all station parts together when you are building your stations in the Station Designer!

Additionally, players should note that the 3D Printer and the Resource Grid Utility Box are big and heavy items, which can't be picked up or moved by Endos!

Are there any plans to allow snapping them in place? I.e. make tractor beam able to snap objects, add component that enhance endo lifting capability or divide those big components into several pickable ones?

Otherwise trading/looting them becomes impossible, as you can't place them beck.

We're aware of the current challenges with this and we're sorry for the inconvenience! These are definitely being looked into in development so there should be solutions coming in the future.
