The problem with a persistent universe and player onboarding/Origin Stations

I would vote against an official role for helping players, as that is enough "power" to make some people drunk with it, more so if it is remunerated. Having public help forums and possibly an improved chat range for station chat on origin is probably better.

Stuck in Main Menu ( Waiting for Servers P,B,I,S,U

Family sharing is the cause of the servers not loading then, as it has been "banned" for this game to fix the loophole of people using it to get around bans.

    heat problem

looks like another form of "generate data locally but don't let the server know" or in more words: you don't save the heat values but generate them when the ship loads and keep those while it is active, but something changes the values while you are using the ship, so generating the values anew...

    Mission System / PvE Elements

Have to agree that missions will probably not fit that well into the game, even if I previously posted on their ease of implementation. Even the one mission that I think is viable to be implemented in a short time could just as easily be done by changing the base price (what the "NPC" ore...

    Mission System / PvE Elements

To be fair, I call the ore terminals NPCs, and in terms of what they would need to achieve (providing missions and checking for completion) that is all that would be needed: a list of tasks and the option to accept and to return to get your money and maybe do another mission. I think the...

    silly endos, and market sales

They've been shooting themselves in the foot for months. Probably because they don't know the existence of the sell terminals in the market or on the ore towers. Also a reason why I have piece of paper with all base prices to compare the market to :b

    capital ship part problem

I never said it would be efficient. And if we were to take the base price offered by the Ore terminals (essentially the minimal material price), always rounding up to full stacks: 14x7620,48=106686,72 10x3787,41=37874,10 8x9797,76=78382,08 7x544,32=3810,24 7x870,91=6096,37 7x4354,56=30481,92...

    capital ship part problem

I think that is an issue about modules not really fitting in with the backpack inventory or being easily placeable. As far as I know, transporting them is out of the question (if anyone knows how, please correct me). You should, however, be able to at least recoup some of your losses by selling...

Make the Warp Core great again!

It looks like there was no fighting, at least as long as I can trust the people posting on the "Aries News Corps" discord to be truthful.

We need tow and reassembly tickets -ASAP- YESTERDAY.

I still got support over the last few days, for the ship refund at least.

    Starbase Player Council Report - Q1 2022

With the exception of credits you should be able to live at your stations with the upcoming patch next week, as it introduces hangar halls (designer /repair hall). So until your credits run out you can spawn and repair your ships as you could in a dev station. And if you find a way to get...

    Warp trace

Haven't played them myself, but didn't EVE and Albion promote themself with having a fully player driven economy, same with Foxhole?

Feedback After the first 24 hours

1.) I think Closed Alpha isn't the forum that this should belong into, as this isn't in >>closed<< alpha anymore. 2.) Great to have you. The base controls are, admittedly, not good. But that's what settings (both general through ESC and ship specific through default V). But one thing to...

    Warp trace

Let's see... talking about what the developers have said and demonstrated makes it the plan of a player now, got it. And for safe resource extraction, wouldn't week twelve's (2022) progress report already do that with much less hassle than a civilian capital ship (which you'd need a station...

    Warp trace

I know that reading disagreeing posts isn't fun, but here: with the slight adage that nobody here called PvP griefing and only mentioned griefing protection when talking about safezones being an old concept. So no need to be hyperfocussed about something that was written as an off-comment and...

    Warp trace

Griefing as in: not doing PvP but being annoying or even destructive inside the safezone, making it a non safe zone. So it indeed does not have anything to do with your beloved PvP and more with keeping things civil and pleasent inside safezones. And since you ask for proof...

    Lifeline need to nerf

I never said that it is the only way though, only made the observation that when many are doing the same thing there is a reason why and that not meeting the underlying need might devolve into something unhealthy.

    Lifeline need to nerf

I'd say if poeple are jumping off to get information there is an unmet need (looking around to spot approaching ships). So until there is a replacement for it taking the option away will just exacerbate the need. And lest we forget: when they are pulled back they are stunned for a good few...

PASSIVE SENSOR TYPES | How to find stuff & a reason to multi-crew

Where I think that the 360° bit might be a bit low in terms of functionality, as I can only think that applying to a plane, requiring the sensor to rotate (or a second sensor) to give an actual heading of incoming signals.
