    Resistant Glass

"Typically" We dont know what "glass" actually is in SB. It comes from dust and some sort of mineral. We're assuming glass is already nonreactive because that's how it usually is IRL but im just requesting that it is, or we get a version that is for SB... Rather than assuming.

Pre-Dreadnought Design or Large Turrets ?

Seems torpedoes are currently the heaviest of weapons avaliable. Which would place ship weapon philosophy closer to WW2 frigate/destroyer. Also not certain exactly how well heavy armor/angling works so we may or may not be able to bulk up like a dread...

    Warning Sensors

Hmmm:unsure: i suppose, in that case, you could wrap fuel tanks in wiring and assume there's a leak if the loop is broken? That actually would be cooler in my opinion, as long as it keeps working that way and we can label warning lights and such.:)

    Resistant Glass

Emmkay.;) I havent found it but i thought it was discussed in one of the progress videos or maybe a combat vid. Here's corrosion info fir when we do find something to apply it to. https://wiki.starbasegame.com/index.php/Damage#Corrosive_status For kinetic i was just thinking of a hardened...

    Resistant Glass

Useless?? These are all damage types or expected environmental conditions and glass is made of two things in SB with as of yet unknown properties... Why be so quick to defend a pre-alpha game from content suggestions? fuel is "corrosive" some things still react with glass IRL, i havent seen...

    Warning Sensors

is there a module thats receptive to fluids and lasers and missile launches or are we assuming? I dont see anything here that appears to provide these inputs for YOLOL to work with. https://wiki.starbasegame.com/index.php/Devices_and_machines

    Warning Sensors

fuel, specifically, is acidic right? Would be helpful in larger ships to know right away if there were a leak, even a small one. Yeah, missile launch and targetting laser warnings would need to be non specific, like just telling the pilot there is a laser pointing at his ship from somewhere.

    Tether Cables

true... I thought it'd be cool to be able to make quick repairs by bolting cables to broken parts or towing things without needing power for tractor beams. Wiring might be able to do these things? We'll have to see how strong they are.

    Resistant Glass

Different glass types (or whatever windows are made of) that can have resistances that match the metals, i.e. Thermal, acid, kinetic... Electric?
  10. Brushes

    Integral Fuel Tanks

Integral meaning fuel is stored within existing ship structure (a wall or floor for example) rather than a tank placed somewhere. In this way, the player could make custom sized tanks that dont use floor space.
  11. Brushes

    Integral Fuel Tanks

Fuel storage within designated ship structure, in addition to storage drums.

    Actuators / Pistons

Hydraulic like actuators from small flappy door size to big cargo ramp, drive on/off size. They'd have eyelets at both ends which the bolts go through to allow the actuators to still rotate when extending/retracting. Could also function as shock absorber for landing gear.
  13. Brushes

    Warning Sensors

Detector devices that can alert crew to fuel, radiation or coolant leaks... and fire. Maybe lasers or missile launches too.

    Skin Panels

Panelling that is thin, lightweight and cheap compared to the 'minimum 12cm thick' 'armor' that is currently avaliable. Most auto body skin is ~1 to 1.5mm thick or so.
  15. Brushes

    Tether Cables

A cheap cable that can be bolted to objects for towing or securing items. Uses no power. Could also be fired from special mount to act like harpoon.
