They're showing a lot more actual footage than NMS and have been pretty straightforward with what is and is not in the game. I think we can trust them.
Apparently they did another Dev battle with more people this week. Hopefully they'll release footage of it soon and maybe we'll get to see the Frigates in action!
Yeah. This video pretty much debunks that because ship building is Voxel based. There is no feasible reason why we wouldn't be able to build ships from scratch.
We're not robot's but endoskeletons controlled by humans on another planet. I would say that counts as a type of slavery. Or at least theft and coercion.
I've been chatting with devs too and we've talked about ship building. Hell there are videos on it. You're probably confusing it with Starbase construction.
Ship building is a core aspect of the game. It is available at launch. Although we won't be able to paint right now as color is determined by material. I would like to get a more in depth look at YOLOL than what we've seen.
I don't know how accurate this is. There are apparently a lot of angles that can be done in terms of building. It looks like the beginning of a design tester though. Overall pretty good job for just guessing.
Didn't we already try making a Space UN that destroyed itself almost immediately? And the Devs are talking about player-made safe zones. But sounds like it would need to be done with several factions.
Not really. That depends on what the ship is doing. If you're in an explorer that might work. But combat ships will rely more on a mix between both speed and range.
