    The downfall of Starbase

@Shulace I have to ask, why are you even here?

    The downfall of Starbase

Did you notice how every one of those hardcore PvP games you mentioned has a tiered gear system to act as gatekeeper. As well as pay to win setups. I almost think PvP isn't the problem, but the game systems that are used to promote it. Weird! @Venombrew For sure. Thats exactly why I'm here. The...

    The downfall of Starbase

PvP is definitely a focus. However, its a complex setup in SB. Which I find to be awesome. We are missing many tools. Not just for PvP players, but the PvE as well. Which is fine. Thats the stage we're at. Also, its clear to me, that this is supposed to have a symbiotic relationship between...

    Contraband style devices

There's no NPC authority to enforce it. Are you going to the work? Also, oninom is contraband and will be confiscated 😉

    The Removal of Attachment Plates

Kodey, I don't think your poll is fair by the way. An alternative or keeping them are two different things. Its manipulation to lump them together.

    The Removal of Attachment Plates

I honestly support getting rid of them. Less rendered objects is better for performance.

    The downfall of Starbase

Likely the pings of the sensors would be referenced through the FB servers positional data on players. Which is something it does keep track of.

Why are empire and kingdom at each others throats

The Kingdom rebelled from the Empire. They're now mad at each other because the Empire surprise attacked a Kingdom station.

    "Warp" Drive for small ships

No. Fuel rods are pretty cheap. High power draw would be a likely alternative, but eating a set number of rods no matter how far you go would be a bit easier to deal with.

    "Warp" Drive for small ships

Ya know... if it ate fuel rods completely per use, I think that would be a good balancer. Then you really have to weigh the option of its use.

    Space combat is primitive?

There are many more materials to build ships with than one.

    The downfall of Starbase

Lost and derelict player ships are the planned source for such finds. They don't plan on randomly spawning NPC anythings. Its a player driven organic universe where derelict stations and ships are sourced from players.

    Space combat is primitive?

Its had management problems. Asafe Foi just left it and someone else is now in charge.

    Space combat is primitive?

Probably XD There's already Project Halo to create a Halo station in SB.

    Space combat is primitive?

So, technically no, it wouldn't take 2 people to pilot a large ship. Only takes one. But with a crew, your gonna have people to take over that seat. Now for the part where you splode the cockpit, large ships I would assume would have a secondary set of controls somewhere else in the ship.

    The downfall of Starbase

The material is finite, yes. However, there are trillions of asteroids. Currently they do replenish, but thats not supposed to be how it works upon release. The safezone is huge. It takes a minute or two to get to asteroids right now from Origin. When you logout, regardless of where you are...

    Space combat is primitive?

Who needs to snipe the pilot when you just alpha the ship and accidentally make the pilot eat a railgun shell? lol

    Space combat is primitive?

Auto targeting is explicitly not on the docket.

A small fear of mine - the problem with the global server

Splitting your player base is typically a bad move, and most MMO's have moved away from multiple servers.

    Space combat is primitive?

we don't have shields, no innate coordinate system, and so no velocity, no targeting systems, and so on. We need those mechanics in order to make combat more in depth and interesting. However, this game is definitely a building game. Combat options will be coming later, but without these things...
